About Georgia Disability Advocates' Calendar (GDAC)

Placing a Georgia disability advocates' calendar website up on the Internet has been a high priority for the webmaster for quite some time now. The need to present an advocacy project for the 2005 Georgia Voices That Count (GVTC) advocate training program, of which the webmaster was a participant, provided that little extra umph that is sometimes needed to get something new up and running.

All information presented here will come from reputable resources freely and readily available to disability advocates and self~advocates in Georgia. Wherever possible, due credits will be given to the parties originally presenting the included information.

IMPORTANT!! The inherent nature of the information provided on this website is such that it can change absolutely without notice. If you are interested in attending any of the featured events, always verify finalized event details by contacting the sponsoring individual(s) and organization(s) directly.

Linking To This Website

Linking to Disability Advocates' Calendar is welcomed and encouraged. It is recommended that those who wish to link use the current month's webpage as their link of choice. Webpages on this site will be cycled regularly with the calendar.html page set up to always hold the current month's event information.

Using This Website As A Browser Homepage

If you would like to check out Georgia Disability Advocates' Calendar on a regular basis, saving it as your web browser's homepage is one viable option. To do this, first find the page best suited to your needs. As suggested above, the Current Month webpage will always represent the current calendar month of the year, thus making it as good a place to start as any other.

Using Internet Explorer (IE) as an example and with your favorite webpage opened in the active window, locate the Standard Buttons toolbar usually found at the top of the window. Now click on Tools then Internet Options. Click on the General tab if it is not already opened then find the Home page block.

If the desired webpage address is showing in the changeable Address text box, simply click the Use Current then OK buttons, and you're done. If the address in the Address text box is not correct, you can always change it yourself by typing in the address you prefer then repeat the above process.

About The Webmaster

The Disability Advocates' Calendar webmistress is a consumer (psychiatric/psyche) survivor currently residing in Talking Rock, Georgia (Pickens County). The webmaster has recently become empowered through the inspiration of dedicated disability advocates all over Georgia.

The webmaster now advocates regularly for the rights of all persons with disabilities with Georgia Disability Advocates' Calendar website becoming one of the latest steps in that advocacy effort. GDAC's intended purpose is to provide another public venue for interested parties to announce events, conferences, and meetings that directly benefit all persons with disabilities.
